Events planned for Carmarthen Market
A range of activities are taking place for young people and their families at Carmarthen Market during the month of August.
On Friday August 3, the Carmarthen Twirlers will be performing by the Clock Tower Square from 10am-4pm. For anyone interested in learning how to baton twirl, this is the perfect workshop to get involved in.
For the more creative person, an arts and crafts workshop from clean waste materials will be hosted by Johnstown-based community interest company, Trysordy. The event will take place at the Clock Tower Square from 10am-3pm.
Oriel Myrddin Gallery will also host an art workshop on Friday, August 24 between 11am-1pm, and 2pm-4pm. Young people will get the opportunity to show off their artistic skills and learn how to make various artistic items.
All events are free of charge, and young children should be accompanied by an adult at all times.
Market Manager, Eifion Evans said: “We are pleased to be able to offer activities for young people during the school holidays. Not only is it a great day out for children and their families, but it’s also a good way of introducing them to the market.”
