Crackdown on hazardous substances sites

Crackdown on hazardous substances sites | Dyfed Powys Police | Heddlu Dyfed Powys
Dyfed-Powys police force is making a crackdown on sites storing hazardous substances.
The police say, 'In order to achieve this, we are asking for the public’s help in identifying sites where a large amount of hazardous waste and substances are being stored. There are many types of hazardous substances and waste and some of the more obvious are chemicals, plastics, tyres and wood. These substances could be stored inside or outside a building – and we need to know about any you come across or have any concerns about. Smaller scale fly tipping is obviously a concern in relation to looking after our environment and making it a better place, and if you have any information about this sort of incident then please contact your local authority. Our main concern as a multi-agency group is to seek out any large sites, such as the one in Fforestfach, Swansea, which would cause major problems and have significant consequences if a fire broke out.'
