Police advice to stop thefts from cars

The theft of motor vehicles within Llanelli is down the year on year, but officers have expressed concern that there are still too many incidents of thefts from unattended vehicles.
“Unfortunately, despite numerous warnings, there are a core of motorists that still don’t realise the dangers of leaving their valuables on show in their car,” said PC Anthony George of the community safety department. “And some still forget to lock their cars.
“So our message is clear. If anything of value has to be left with the vehicle it should be locked away in the boot and kept out of sight."
