An appeal has gone out for football fans to rally behind Carmarthen Town AFC as they stage their first Wednesday night home match of the Welsh Premier League campaign.
It’s the biggest local derby of the campaign as Town entertain Llanelli at Richmond Park, kick-off 7.30pm, on Wednesday, September 7.
Club vice-chairman Robert Lloyd said: “Maintaining a Welsh Premier League side to represent Carmarthen and West Wales in the top flight of Welsh football is a full-time job and I’d appeal to football fans to come and join us and take up one of our vice-president or member offers.
“We are also looking for stewards and match-day officials and anyone who can help can give me a ring on 07777 683637.”
There have been a few summer changes at Richmond Park – the club shop has now moved into a new home in the club office and the Vice Presidents lounge has been relocated to the clubhouse.
Carmarthen Town AFC has launched a new website to coincide with the start of the new Welsh Premier League season.
The site is at – www.carmarthentownafc.com
