New Vice-Presidents package for Carmarthen AFC


Carmarthen Town AFC has announced its ticket package for Vice-Presidents for next season, 2011–2012.
Club President Jeff Thomas said: "We are proud to be able to offer supporters who take the Vice-Presidents package the following -
• Free admission to all Welsh Premier League Home Games for the 2011/2012 season.
• A special Vice-Presidents pass/card for Richmond Park.
• Free refreshments at half-time in the Vice-Presidents Lounge.
• Special Vice-Presidents evenings.
• The services of a Vice-Presidents Liaison Officer regarding club activities and general information.
• Preferential consideration for European competition travel arrangements."
In addition, said Mr Thomas, the club has a package for Gold Vice-Presidents.
He added:
"This will entitle you for the period of 10 years to:
• All the privileges listed above.
• Free travel on team bus to away games.
• Free admission to away Welsh Premier League matched when travelling on the bus.
• Free admission to all Richmond Park matches
• Free entertainment at one home game in Richmond Park’s hospitality suite."

Clive Thomas, Vice Presidents Liaison Officer, has written to all club members with details of the new packages.
He said: "As you are aware our manager Tomi Morgan has signed a new contract for the forthcoming season and is already working hard to bring in new players to strengthen the squad. At the recent presentation evening, he stated that his goal was to finish in the top six of the Welsh Premier League next season.
"With your continued support, which would be greatly appreciated, I am sure this goal is within reach."

Vice-President: £110
Season Tickets – admission to all home League of Wales matches -
Adult £80 (£70 if received prior to 31/07/11)
Senior Citizen/Student £60 (£50 if received prior to 31/07/11)
Age 12-17 £40 (£35 if received prior to 31/07/11)
Age 11 and under £20 (£15 if received prior to 31/07/11)
Family Tickets -
1st Adult £80 (£70 if received prior to 31/07/11)
Partner £40 (£35 if received before 31/07/11)
Children (12 – 17) - £17.50

Former Gower MP Gareth Wardell was the guest speaker at the weekly meeting of Llanelli Rotary Club held at the Stradey Park Hotel. 'Class of 1980' from Burry Port enjoy reunion

There was a big class reunion held in Burry Port at the weekend. Members of the Class of 1980 from Porth Tywyn (Burry Port junior) School got together at The Coasting Pilot pub. The reunion was organised by Christine Rees and same 22 members of the original class of 28 turn up to discuss their old schooldays. One ‘Class of 1980’ member was Burry Port businessman Owain Davies. He said: “We all have very happy memories of our time in school. We had a fantastic teacher in Mr Heddwyn Jones, who now lives in Four Roads. “We were very fortunate to have the same teacher for three years and we were a very happy class. Mr Jones was an inspiring teacher and we all got on every well and we are all still good friends. “Heather Thomas (now Heather Osmond) made it from Surrey, but she was trumped by Gail Morris, who flew in from Ohio in the United States for the reunion. “It was a fantastic evening at the Coasting Pilot with good food, good wine and good company. Lauryn Davey is making her mark in athletics - but needs sponsors

Ammanford-based Lauryn Davey is making a major mark in the world of Welsh athletics. At just 16, she is the best all-round athlete of her age in Wales. She's chalking up Welsh championship victories and has been honoured by her club, the Carmarthen Harriers. Lauryn's been earmarked as a future international star, but knows the road to the big championships is difficult, demanding and expensive. Ammanford businessman and well-known comic entertainer Phil Evans has launched a campaign to get cash backers for Lauryn's athletics career. "Everyone in the area is hugely proud of her achievements in athletics to date," said Phil. "But we also want to see her go on and do bigger and better things.
