It's Customer Services Week in Carmarthenshire
Customer Services staff at Carmarthenshire County Council have organised five days of events to mark National Customer Services Week.
Staff at Carmarthenshire Direct, which has recently achieved a Customer Service Excellence award from the Cabinet Office, have a series of events organised from Monday October 4 to Friday October 8.
Customer Care Champion Cllr Kevin Madge will officially open Customer Service Week in Carmarthen Customer Service Centre on Monday morning and will spend time shadowing Customer Service Centre staff throughout the week.
During the week, staff will wear ‘National Customer Service Week’ Shoulder Sashes to promote the celebration.
Other events include Customer Services Managers ‘going back to the floor’, customer service quizzes, a charity raffle with prizes donated by Managers, and a non uniform day to raise funds for MIND.
Cllr Kevin Madge said: “Customer service is fundamental to everything that the council does and I am delighted that we have a week of events planned to celebrate the work that is being done and to emphasise its importance.”
