New Coroner for Pembrokeshire
Haverfordwest-born solicitor, Mark Layton, has been appointed HM Coroner (part-time) for Pembrokeshire.
He succeeds Michael Howells who has held the post for 29 years.
Mr Layton, 47, is the founder of Haverfordwest solicitors Layton and Co., and is now employed at the firm as a consultant.
Educated at the former Milford Haven Grammar School, he studied law at Cardiff University.
In 2004 he was appointed Assistant Deputy Coroner for Pembrokeshire and Deputy Coroner two years later.
Mr Layton takes up the post in the New Year.
Like his predecessor, he will be based in the Coroner's Office in Milford Haven town hall.
