Côr Meibion Dyffryn Tywi (Vale of Towy Male Voice Choir) are all set for a memorable year following a very busy 2013.
Last year, the choir appeared in 18 concerts and their travels included a weekend stay in Swindon.
Derrick Rowlands, the choir secretary, said: “2014 looks to be a busy year as well with eight engagements already booked between January and July.”
“A first for the choir this year will be a visit to the Isle of Wight for four days, starting on April 24.
“A concert has also been arranged in Hillingdon, London during July. It will mark the choir’s return to Hillingdon following a memorable concert a few years ago.”
The choir's annual concert will be held on June 28 at the Princess Gwenllian Centre Kidwelly, with guest artists soprano Catrin Aur and the Welsh Choir of the Year 2013 Cor Y Wiber.

The Hywel Girls’ Choir and Hywel Boy Singers will be kicking off an exciting year of song with an appearance on S4C’s Noson Lawen on Saturday 25 January before performing with singing sensation Blake at Y Ffwrnes on the 1st February.
The choir has also launched its 2014 Performance Singing Scholarships for children aged 8-14 years old.
Other performances for the Hywel Choir include performing at the H G Wells Centre in Surrey, the ever popular Last Night of the Proms with the British Sinfonietta Orchestra at Y Ffwrnes, performances with the Pontarddulais Male Choir, a summer recording with SAIN, singing at Swansea’s Brangwyn Hall, the Wales Festival of Remembrance at St David’s Hall Cardiff and Swansea’s Grand Theatre with Only Boys Aloud among others. The Hywel Choir’s Amadeus Academy will participate in the Llanelli Choral Society’s performance of Saint Nicholas.
The choir is also welcoming new choristers to attend rehearsals in preparation for its exciting concert season. A warm welcome is given to new choristers
The Llanelli Choral Society are preparing for an exciting choral and orchestral performance in April when they perform Britten’s Saint Nicholas and classical highlights by the British Sinfonietta Orchestra.
Future performances include participating in the Hywel Choir’s Last Night of the Proms, performing in the Festival of Remembrance at Swansea’s Brangwyn Hall and an exciting Autumn performance of Carmina Burana at Y Ffwrnes.
