Llandovery family scales great heights to say thank you
Earlier this year, 20 friends and family joined Isobelle Davies on a climb of the highest peak in south Wales, Penyfan in the Brecon Beacons with the help of Andrew, an experienced and keen walker.
This week, Isobelle and daughter Ruth visited the team at Glangwili Children’s Centre and presented a cheque for £1806.83.
Isobelle said: “We are so pleased to hand over this cheque today. Everyone is so good in the diabetic clinic and it is fantastic to have them. We wanted to say thank you for all the care and support provided to our family. We would also like to thank everyone who joined us on the walk and those who sponsored us to raise such a fantastic amount of money.”
Sister Yvonne Davies, Paediatric Diabetes Specialist Nurse at Hywel Dda University Health Board said: “On behalf of the team it was my pleasure to accept this cheque today from the Davies family. It is great that so many of their family and friends came together and we thank everyone for their support.”
The generosity of our supporters makes a real difference to our patients, their families and visitors on a daily basis.
