Opportunity to view new Crymych community care resource centre

People are being offered the opportunity to view the new Bro Preseli development in Crymych.
The Bro Preseli scheme is a joint venture between Family Housing Association, Pembrokeshire County Council, Preseli Peaks Practice and Hywel Dda University Health Board.
An opportunity to view the housing scheme and all its facilities, including a show apartment is being offered on Thursday August 14 between 10am and 4pm at the new development at Heol Parc y Ffair, Crymych, SA41 3SJ.
As the new community care resource centre will be operational and already seeing patients – people are welcome to tour this new facility between 12noon and 2pm only. The Hywel Dda Community Health Council, who have formed part of the project board for this development, will also be in attendance during these times.
The new building include a new Preseli Peaks GP surgery as well as facilities for university health board staff such as midwives, health visitors, district nurses and therapists. The current healthcare temporary building will close.
One of the main benefits of this new facility means healthcare staff will be on the same site as social services staff which will result in more joined up working and better overall care for patients.
County Director and commissioner for Pembrokeshire and Project Director for the University Health Board development, Sue Lewis said: “This new purpose built facility will significantly improvement the working environment for the GPs, Hywel Dda University Health Board staff and ultimately for the delivery of health services for the people of Crymych and surrounding areas.”
“The project board has worked closely with staff who will be in the new facility to ensure it is not just suitable for their needs now but also for the future needs of the area. We encourage people to come and have a look at their new facilities during this open event.”
Pamela Parsons and Glenys Bowen, from the Hywel Dda Community Health Council, said: "The Community Health Council has supported the project from its outset and sees it as a much needed facility to meet the medical needs of the communities in North Pembrokeshire and South Ceredigion."
Patients are being reminded that to facilitate the move there will be emergency only appointments on August 1 and 4 and anyone needing an emergency appointment should call the usual numbers
