Traffic lights installed on A484 at Llandyfaelog
Traffic lights have been installed on the Star Forge Bridge on the A484 near Llandyfaelog following scour damage to one of the bridge abutments.
The scour has resulted in partial collapse of the masonry abutment and traffic lights have been installed at the location to prevent vehicles traversing over the eastern lane of the carriageway, beneath which the damage has occurred.
Further investigations are currently ongoing to establish what remedial measures can be undertaken at the site to enable the lights to be removed at the earliest opportunity.
Disruption will be kept to a minimum as much as possible. The council would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused.
