Believe it or not . . .
Former England cricket captain Michael Vaughan is using the skills he honed in the game to create modern art.
The 35-year-old batsman's work bears a striking resemblance to that of American abstract impressionist painter Jackson Pollock, who was famous for splattering canvases with bright colours.
But instead of using a paint brush, Vaughan has either bowled, batted or thrown, in the style of a fielder, cricket balls covered in paint against a black canvas. The new technique is known as art-balling and he has named his paintings to reflect the cricketing theme.
